MDRNA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Research Associate to join the Formulations team. The position responsibilities include; preparation and characterization of oligonucleotide based nanoparticle formulations for in vitro and in vivo testing. Nanoparticle characterization includes measuring size, zeta potential and percent oligonucleotide encapsulation. Further, responsibilities include developing new oligonucleotide analytical methods, and improving on existing ones, to further characterize oligonucleotide based nanoparticle formulations, and also presenting data at internal company meetings. Candidates should have; strong skills in formulation and pharmaceuticals sciences; previous experience with nanoparticle based drug delivery systems; experience with biophysical characterization of drug delivery systems, drug manufacturing and process development expertise; experience with HPLC and other chromatographic separation techniques; excellent written and oral communication skills, data analysis, planning and record keeping skills; and an attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team setting is essential. Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work well in a fast paced environment are a must. The position requires a B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical science or related scientific field, 3 years relevant industry experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office® products.
